he bee doesn't know it shouldn't fly. Scientifically, it can't. But the reality is it can! And where science leaves off, yoga comes in to fill the gaps.
You are more than you think
Yoga, like the bee, teaches us that we are capable of more than we think. Just as the bee defies scientific limitations, yoga reminds us that we can transcend our own perceived boundaries. We have to trust, practice, let go of conditioned thoughts, and be open to the wave of thoughts that yoga opens our minds to.
Sometimes, you have to lean into a pose so far you might fall and have faith that even if you fall, you, like a bee, can get back up and fly again!
Honey stories in yoga class? Just Beecause.
Honey is known for having multiple healing properties, but did you know bees buzzing can also produce a very calming effect (if you aren't allergic to them).
Did you know there are places in the world where beekeepers use more than the bees' honey to help support people's health and well-being?
In the yoga class JUST BEE, in savasana, we cover the story of a woman who has a life-threatening disease and how she uses the power of bees' vibrations (literally, she lays on a bed that has a bee hive beneath it, humming with bees) to help her navigate her life journey with as much vitality and health as possible. The vibrations from the bees are believed to have a healing effect on the body and mind. She also enjoys a delicious honey-stirred hibiscus flower tea afterward. (Yummy!)
Beekeepers are the Bees Knees!
People ask us if we are vegan, and that is a tricky question. We eat vegan food but also support the bees by eating their honey. We believe in the local beekeeper's efforts to give healthy options for bees to attain nectar (rather than feeding them sugar syrup made by humans). So, we purchase local honey to support the efforts of a small population of humans who care about the bees and their continued existence, and if eating honey is part of making that possible, count me in!
Carnivores and vegans can be friends because of the bees.
I also like to remind our carnivore friends that the cows won't have anything to eat without bees. So, no matter if we love our veggies or our burgers, the love of the bees is where we find a common bond with our food choices. Yes, we love our vegan treats, but we also love sustainability, and sometimes, for things to sustain in this world, we have to send love and support to the industries that ARE putting a HUGE effort to make a difference! And many local Florida Honey makers are doing just that!

Natural yoga inspiration
We are teachers who are inspired by the group we teach and never plan our classes. We vibe with the group. Listen to the natural rhythm and flows of C&T's minds as we move students through the most beloved meditation pose of yoga, savasana.
Embrace the unexpected. It's these unplanned moments that make CPY a truly unique place to practice yoga.
