VINYASA
This practice is widely misunderstood throughout the yoga community. Unless you are practicing with well trained yogi’s who really love this practice, you will never understand how amazing and fantastic this flowing practice is.
We tell all new students you will not get this practice in 1 session or even in 2 or 3, but if you are willing to start with 20 or more and genuinely want to give yourself an opportunity to learn to understand this practice you won’t come down with “angry yogi syndrome”.
This practice is a flow and the teacher is going to guide you through the entire process. All power yoga whether it is Astanga, Vinyasa or simply Power, as taught at CPY, is designed to make you breathe deep and sweat lots. This is a detoxifying yoga practice and can be challenging as well as invigorating. It is not challenging in terms of you have to be flexy bendy...it is challenging to get your mind focused and your body happy.
All forms of Power Yoga are always a process that takes a little work and a little dedication but the end result of feeling so good after makes it all worth it!
All our classes are based on Astanga, Vinyasa, or Power Yoga methods... nothing else...just plain raw Power Yoga the way it was meant to be.
