power yoga-

Sounds scary huh?  It really isn’t.  Its just a lot of teachers take a 3 day or week long training and think they are ready to teach this practice to anyone. 


There are teachers for certain students... not all teachers are the same and not all are for you.  Just because there are power yoga classes at the gym or another studio doesn’t mean they are the identical and you may like some and not others.  


This practice is designed to make you detox, cleanse, and maintain your optimum level of overall health and well being.  There are different styles of yoga - this one is called Rajastic yoga... this is a heat building practice.  That means you may sweat... some a little and some a lot.. but you will glisten!


Yeah. we use heaters in the winter cuz if it is 30 degrees outside it will be 30 degrees inside, so we use the heater to get the room comfy.  As you move and breathe you will be building your own internal heat.   Due to this you can stop and rest if you feel too warm.  You can take breaks during our classes.  Yes, the teachers at CPY,  will motivate you to do your best...and sometimes your best is taking it easy.  We get that here.


There are a lot of sites that write about power yoga like they know what they are talking about yet they have only taken 1 or 2 sessions.  You cannot believe everything you read in regards to anything in life...but especially in yoga.  This practice takes a lifetime of dedication to comprehend all that it can do for you... but we ask for you to at least start somewhere.   Why wait to feel good?
